Job Summary
Skylark Drones is looking for GIS Engineers to work on large-scale geospatial data processing, analysis, and visualization for enterprise drone and analytics platforms. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with spatial data, maps, and location-based intelligence, and who want to apply GIS at scale to solve real-world problems.
You will work closely with drone operations, AI, product, and platform teams to transform raw geospatial data into accurate, reliable, and actionable insights for enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, analyze, and manage geospatial datasets including imagery, vector data, and terrain models
- Perform spatial analysis and generate maps, layers, and geospatial insights
- Integrate drone-derived data such as orthomosaics, point clouds, and DEMs into GIS workflows
- Support enterprise use cases across infrastructure, mining, energy, and utilities
- Build and maintain GIS pipelines and workflows for scalable data processing
- Collaborate with AI and product teams to enable spatial intelligence in applications
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to quality standards
- Document GIS processes, datasets, and outputs clearly
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of GIS concepts and spatial data analysis
- Experience working with GIS tools and software
- Ability to handle large geospatial datasets
- Strong attention to detail and data quality
- Ability to think systematically and solve spatial problems
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working with drone or remote sensing data
- Exposure to spatial databases and geospatial data pipelines
- Familiarity with automation or scripting for GIS workflows
- Comfort working in production environments with real users
- Strong ownership mindset and bias for action
